Green Tree Aeonium — Aeonium arboreum
Roots in 2–4 weeks (fastest in fall–spring)
Glossy green rosettes on stems. A winter grower — it naps in summer heat, so don’t panic at dropped lower leaves.
Purple / Dark Aeonium — Aeonium arboreum ‘Atropurpureum’
Roots in 2–4 weeks
Burgundy rosettes; color deepens with sun. Same winter-grower rhythm as its green cousin.
Aeonium ‘Zwartkop’ — Aeonium ‘Zwartkop’
Roots in 2–4 weeks
The nearly-black rosette. Keep the stem, plant an inch deep, water lightly.
Aeonium ‘Sunburst’ — Aeonium ‘Sunburst’
Roots in 2–4 weeks
Cream-and-green striped rosettes. Shade it from brutal afternoon sun.
Aeonium ‘Mardi Gras’ — Aeonium hybrid
Roots in 2–4 weeks
Multicolor rosettes — green, yellow and red at once.
Gollum Jade — Crassula ovata ‘Gollum’
Roots in 2–4 weeks
Tube-shaped leaves with trumpet tips. Tough as nails; keep away from nibbling pets.
Jade Plant — Crassula ovata
Roots in 2–4 weeks
Classic oval jade leaves on woody stems. Let it dry out fully between waterings.
Mini Pine Tree — Crassula tetragona
Roots in 2–3 weeks
Looks like a tiny conifer. One of the fastest rooters in the box.
Jelly Bean — Sedum rubrotinctum
Roots in 2–3 weeks
Plump bean leaves that blush red in sun. Any leaf that falls off will root too — free plants.
Ghost Plant — Graptopetalum paraguayense
Roots in 2–3 weeks
Powdery gray-lavender rosettes. Handle by the stem — fingerprints smudge the coating forever.
Elephant Bush — Portulacaria afra
Roots in 2–3 weeks
Red stems, small coin leaves. The pet-safe jade lookalike; great for bonsai.
Bear Paw — Cotyledon tomentosa
Roots in 3–4 weeks
Fuzzy paws with red claws. The paws detach easily — handle gently, water sparingly.
Pink Ice Plant — Oscularia deltoides
Roots in 2–3 weeks
Blue-gray toothed leaves on red stems; pink daisies in spring. Stick it straight in the ground.
Echeveria (assorted rosettes) — Echeveria species & hybrids
Roots in 3–6 weeks
Ships as a whole rosette — let it callus, set it on dry soil, and it re-roots from the base.
